چکیده
Fig. 1 (a) MRE wave image and Elastogram (b) UTE spatio-temporal strain map (c) Bland-Altman plot MRE: FOV=14cm,Matrix=256X64,TR/TE=50/26.5ms, flip angle=30 ̊, thickness=10cm, BW=±16kHz, continues vibration=60Hz, average stiffness of ROI drawn on the elastogram was measured as the stiffness of the phantom. UTE: center frequency of transducer=3.5 MHz, transient vibration=20ms (1 cycle of 50 Hz sinusoid wave), mean value of 10 valid measurements (the slope of the wavefront in the spatio-temporal strain map) was reported as the stiffness of the phantom. Bland-Altman plot: the x-axis is the average value of the MRE and TE measurements, and the yaxis is the difference between them (MRE-UTE). Investigation of Shape Functions Role on the Mesh-free Method Application in Soft Tissue Elastography
In current study, The Mesh-free method based on weak-form formulation coupled with the ultrasound imaging technique is developed. This problem consists in computing the deformation of an elastic non-homogenous phantom by numerical methods (both Mesh-free and Finite Element) and converge their results to the measured deformation by the ultrasound. The shape functions of Mesh-free are approximate...
متن کاملElastography in Chronic Liver Disease: Modalities, Techniques, Limitations, and Future Directions1
Chronic liver disease has multiple causes, many of which are increasing in prevalence. The final common pathway of chronic liver disease is tissue destruction and attempted regeneration, a pathway that triggers fibrosis and eventual cirrhosis. Assessment of fibrosis is important not only for diagnosis but also for management, prognostic evaluation, and follow-up of patients with chronic liver d...
متن کاملModeling the Skull-Brain Interface Using Sylgard 527 Phantoms
The goal of my research is to create a phantom capable of simulating brain tissue mechanical properties. This phantom will be tested with Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) to retrieve data about the wave-motion taking place in the phantom. During the summer and past few months, I have created a homogenous Sylgard 527 phantom, a simple model, representing only the skull and brain tissue. In ...
متن کاملReliability and Validity of Quantifying Absolute Muscle Hardness Using Ultrasound Elastography
Muscle hardness is a mechanical property that represents transverse muscle stiffness. A quantitative method that uses ultrasound elastography for quantifying absolute human muscle hardness has been previously devised; however, its reliability and validity have not been completely verified. This study aimed to verify the reliability and validity of this quantitative method. The Young's moduli of...
متن کاملViscoelastic Modeling of Brain MRE Data Using FE Method
Dynamic shear test on simulated phantom can be used to validate magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) measurements. Phantom gel has been usually utilized for the cell culture of cartilage and soft tissue and also been used for mechanical property characterization using imaging systems. The viscoelastic property of the phantom would be important for dynamic experiments and analyses. In this stud...
